The Little Read 2011
For the third year in a row, the Montclair community came out in support of the Montclair Public Library Foundation's The Little Read.
Starting with the Friday night Bedtime and Books event, over 70 children and their parents enjoyed stories from Mayor Fried, Library Director David Hinkley, Principal Joseph Putrino of Northeast School, Executive Director of the Montclair Community Pre-K Eve Robinson and children's book author Jason Edwards.
Mr. Edwards "Storyplay" really excited the children as they hung on his every word and action. Attendees appreciated the milk and cookie reception also. Saturday's readings at the the Montclair Art Museum, the Bellevue Avenue Branch Library and the Main Library were all well attended.
The event wrapped up on Sunday at the Main Library with great readers such as Frankie Faison, Senator Nia Gill and teacher's from the elementary schools.
